“You are set for these things”

Hey, friend! Let me ask you a question…

What’s the desire in your heart?

It could be healing, restored relationships, friendships, being content, or even a dream of yours become a reality.

I, like you, have many desires in my heart. I ask God repeatedly, “why have you not answered this one thing?” Sweet conversations with Jesus would turn into asking Him some really hard questions. Then, I heard the voice of Lord whisper these three words in my ear:

“Divine, Delighted, and Destined. You, my child, are set for these things.”.

The words He spoke, turned into verses that made me realize something far greater than the desires of my heart. Let me tell you something…

You have the divine power inside of you

2 Peter 1:3-4 says, “His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. By these, He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature escaping the corruption of the world that is in the world because of evil desire.

Before you were born, God knew you and the life you would live. When He placed you in the world, He already had everything set and ready to go for you to see you have everything you could need. We live in a world full of wants and wondering what’s next, but we have the power in us to know and believe we are content with Jesus.

You are called by His glory and goodness to be given the great and precious promises of the Lord.

You will see the divine natures, the powerful experiences, and the goodness of God surround your life.

He’s delighted with you

Psalms 37:4 says “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Notice how it doesn’t say, “think of what you want, and God will give it to you.” We must focus on the first part: delight yourself in Him.

That means to delight yourself in the Lord when you are waiting, delight yourself in the Lord in the business of life, and delight yourself in the Lord when all looks hopeless.

When your eyes are locked on Him and your hand is in His, He will give you the desires He wants for you. Your desires will become what He wants for you.

You are destined

Ephesians 1:5 says, He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Christ Jesus for himself, according tot he good pleasure of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace that He lavished on us in the Beloved One.”

You were already destined to be a daughter of the King and to experience the good will of the Father.

He has taken so much pleasure and joy in adopting you into His family.

I know the waiting is hard, but I promise you, He is good. He is your faithful Father who wants to bless you beyond your biggest heart’s desire. Have you looked around yourself recently? You are surrounded with answered prayers and it is just the beginning. There are so many answered prayers coming, just you wait.

Psalms 84:11 says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord grants favor and honor; he does not withhold any good thing from those who live with integrity.”

He has called you to have the divine power to see His goodness and experience the precious promises, delight yourself in the Father, and know that you are destined for an amazing life.

Your desires are important to Him,. Trust in Him in the waiting.

xoxo, Jo
