I wanted to talk about a season of life that I personally feel is hidden behind the scenes, but is one of the most important seasons any of us will ever walkthrough.

It’s in the “In Between” season.

It’s during this season, you have no other choice but to PRESS into Him, to lean on Him, and expect what can only be done by God.

If you are wondering what an “In Between” season looks like, let me give you some examples: (The arrows are the season of “in-between”

High School –> College

Dating –> Engaged

Praying –> Answered

Graduated –> Job

What you are working on –> the Result/ Decision

I think all of us can think of a time when we were the arrow. It’s here where you lie, it’s where you’re not only waiting, you are seeking, you are open, and you are praying harder than you ever have in your whole life.

It’s during these seasons thoughts of doubt, confusion, and even pain can come into my mind and can blind us from the beautiful, firm truth…

John 5:17- “Jesus responded to them, ‘My Father is still working, and I am working also.'”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18- “For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. So we do not focus on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

God is, always has been, and always will be working in your life. You know why- cause He cares for you and wants to show you this… What is impossible for man, is POSSIBLE with God (Luke 18:27). Through the silence, the answers, and even the hardship- He deserves all the praise cause HE is working, even in the “in-between”.

These seasons are sticky, they seem like they last for eternity, BUT keep your hope in the One who sees the unseen, who sees how this circumstance will end in glory, and the One who can write the story the only way He can.

These seasons don’t last forever and no one said it was going to be easy. But, man, am I grateful we have a God who is steady, present, and all-knowing during these times.

Keep your hand on His and your eyes lifted towards Him. He is guiding your path and is with you through each step, through the trusting, and through the silence. Rest in the truth and know, He is working.

What “In Between” season are you walking through?

xoxo, Jo
